April 1, 2008 Liver Chestnut Overo APHA Colt - World Class Pedigree

Cody is a very big boy! He has a wide blaze and eye-liner on both eyes, white legs, and a big belly spot. With his color and look at me attitude this guy will stand out in a crowd. He is very quiet. He just patiently stands there to be clipped, bathed, trimmed and fooled with.

With grandsires like Mighty Awesome and Impressionist (n/n) he will make an exceptional all around project.  His dam was never shown due to lack of funds & time because of my shoulder surgery.  Her full sisters have APHA points in Halter & Western Pleasure.  He is bred to halter & ride.  With his pedigree, he will make an outstanding stallion, or geld him and make a phenomenal all around Youth &/or Amateur gelding.  He was taken to the 2008 Zone 1 Z-O-R where he made big impressions on everyone because he was so laid back and quite whether he was at the stalls or in the show pen

This picture was taken July 27th. Cody is just shy of 16 months old. We also measured his height at weight on the 27th. He is 14.3 hh and 1000 lbs. He strings to over 16 hh. He's had 1 week of conditioning in the picture. Unfortunately, due to a death in the family he has not received the conditioning & training needed to get him in top show shape until the end of July.  It will not take long to get him ready for the Fall Futurities.

Cody has been to the trainer in Southern Idaho. He did great down there. He worked gathering cattle among other things. When we got there to pick him up Tim had roped a 55 gallon barrel & had Cody dragging it behind him. He could have cared less that that big bulky thing was back there behind him making noise.

UPDATE: Cody has been put through the staying broke test...he PASSED with flying colors! When he came back from the trainer this spring, he was not ridden again until the end of July and then not again until Oct 9th. He was taken out of the pen, saddled up and hauled to the mountains. He was unloaded, mounted and headed down the trail without some much as a hump in his back. The trails he went on were more often then not very steep and long and at times very narrow. You would have sworn he'd been trail ridden all summer.

Woodstock She Rocks

January 27, 2008 Chestnut Overo APHA Filly - World Show Top 5 & Top 10!

Congratulations & Thank you to Kenny & Sarah Hall (& family) in TX for taking Maggie/Coco & continuing her show career. She will make you proud! We can't wait to see what she does this year.

Woodstock She Rocks and the Hall family will entering the show pen again in 2011! CoCo will be bred and then their son, Hunter, will work on getting her Superior in Youth Halter. They would also like to take her to the 2011 APHA Youth World Show this summer. Depending on schedules Kenny & Sarah will also be showing her in Open and Amatuer. Next year look for CoCo and Kenny to be showing in the broodmare classes. We wish you the best of luck with this very special girl!

Hey!
...Just wanted to share some photos from the World Show. We were 14th in
Amateur and 15th in open. She got her name called and we got "off the wall"
both classes and got big blue "finalist ribbons". I was thrilled. Would have
liked more but she is just a little short. I am going to keep her and
continue to show her and love her. She is really incredible! Hopefully you
got to see it online. They announced the breeders name etc when she was
called!

I was approached by several people to buy her. And by even more that thought
she should have placed higher. I think one of the biggest compliments came
from Fred Tabor. He said she was "hand carved" and that "if she was a couple
of inches taller, that everyone in the class would be wondering who would be
placing second under her"!!!...

was Reserve Champion Weanling Mares Slot. She also received 5th out of 25 in Open Weanling Mares, 5th out of 14 Weanling Mares Breeders Trust and 9th out over 25

LP Western Style

January 12, 2006 Chestnut Solid APHA Gelding - World Champion Pedigree

"Indy" earned 7 SP-Bred APHA Longe Line Points in 2007 with limited showing. He will succeed in any direction you send him. Whether it's Western Pleasure, English, Jumping or Roping. As of the middle of September '08, Indy is 16.0 hh and still growing!

Within a few hrs of the first day at the trainers he was going around the arena with a saddle and rider on his back at a lope with only a halter and lead rope on his head!

When we pulled up to pick him up he was being ridin by the trainer working a mule that had just started training. When asked he pulled the mule around after the rope had been dallied around the saddle horn. When he was taken from the round pen into the arena he went thru his paces and would really like to be a pleasure horse! Later the trainer roped a 55 gallon metal barrel while on his back & dallied the rope. He then proceeded to knock the barrel over and drag it around the arena at a walk and trot without so much as a flicker of the ear. After the barrel he was asked to walk around different things and walked over a piece of old tin without batting an eye. The trainers' 3 kids rode him out in the mountains gathering cattle. This was all done with only 50 rides on a 2 yr old! Just think what he will do with more time.The only problem that we've had with all of this is that no one thought to bring the video camera!

Indy has found a new best friend in Arizona and will be living with Bentley!

We feel the need, THE NEED FOR SPEED!

"Holly" started her show career as a Western Pleasure horse but decided that she would rather be a Barrel & Pole horse. When Nicci had to sell her other mare because she couldn't handle the North Idaho weather, her mom gave her Holly to use for her next O-Mok-See horse. THANKS MOM!!! They have done pretty well considering their competition. Each run they get a little faster and a little closer to the 1st place horses. Their goal is to get good and fast enough to go to the APHA World Show in Barrels & Poles within the next 5 years.

Holly received a certificate from the Pinto Horse Association of America which stated the following:

Nicci has decided to offer this wonderful mare for sale because she hasn't had the time in the last 2 years to do her justice. They could have easily earned their Open Pole Bending ROM in 2009 if the time could have been spent getting Holly in shape.

She would make a great 4-H or all-round horse. She was used in 2010 for 4-H by a very novice rider/handler. She is the only horse that he had the confidence to use. Everyone was impressed with her attitude and couldn't believe that this is the same horse that I game.

Right now the only fault she has is she can be hot going into the arena to O-Mok-See. If you ride her in the arena any other time she's as calm as can be. She has been ridden on trail rides. Loads, clips, bathes & etc with no problems. She loves to travel down the road. She is 14.3 hh. The fall of 2009 she was put in front of a mechanical cow for the 1st time in her life and loved it. She has the breeding to be a great cutting horse.

"Willy" is the 1st & only stallion (to date) to sire a true OPHB Triple Crown Futurity winner! Another Parteegirl won this prestigious award in 1994 and went on to earn her Halter Superior with 93 pts and her Western Pleasure ROM with 15 pts. Many stallion owners have tried but have not succeeded in trying to obtain the the title of the next true OPHB Triple Crown Futurity Sire. Willy has proven that not only could he halter and ride, but that he also stamped his get with these tremendous abilities.

Buckshot

Buckskin John Mule

Buckshot was the 1998 Grand Champion John Mule of the Kootenai County Fair Show. He was also used on the pack string that took people into hunting camps and/or supplies for the U.S. Forest Service.
